Outdoors notebook: Ducks Unlimited of Kingfisher County will have banquet on Friday

The Kingfisher County of Ducks Unlimited will hold a banquet Friday at the Elks Lodge, one mile west of Kingfisher on SH 33.

Trout club meeting on Tuesday

The Prairie Fly Fishers will hold its monthly meeting Tuesday at Camp DaKaNi, 3309 E. Hefner Road, at 7 p.m.

The group's monthly fly tying club will meet Oct. 23 at Backwoods, 122nd and N. May, at 7 p.m. The public is invited.

Last day of RV show

Sunday is the final day of the annual Fall RV Show and Closeout Sale at State Fair Park.

Motorhomes, fifth wheels, travel trailers and sport utility RVs (toy haulers) are on display in the Cox Pavilion and the Travel and Transportation Building.

Adventure films at Rock Town

The Rock Town Gym, 200 SE 4th Street, will host the REEL ROCK film tour on Saturday.

The tour features the best in climbing and adventure films. Tickets can be bought for $10 at Backwoods stores in Oklahoma City and Norman or at

Bear season update

Through Thursday, Oklahoma bow hunters had checked in 56 black bears in southeastern Oklahoma. Le Flore County has produced the most bears with 30.

Bear hunting is allowed in Le Flore, Latimer, Pushmataha and McCurtain counties. The bear archery season continues through Oct. 21.
