The Oklahoma City Gun Club will resemble the Old West this week as the club hosts its 21st annual “Land Run” cowboy action shooting event.
The Land Run is one of the largest cowboy action shooting competitions in the country. The event begins Thursday at the club’s cowboy action range north of Arcadia and lasts through Sunday.
During cowboy action shoots, competitors shoot replicas of guns from the Old West in contests for accuracy and time. The shooters even dress in attire from the time period.
