Head to the bat cave
Registration begins Monday for bat watches this summer at the Selman Bat Cave near Freedom.

Bat watches are scheduled every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings in July and the first week of August.

There is a nightly exodus of at least one million Mexican-free tailed bats from the cave.

Bat watches are limited to 75 people each night. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for ages 12 and younger.

Blue cat rule stays
Catfishermen will be limited to one trophy blue cat per day after all.

The state Senate adjourned last week without voting on Rep. Ben Sherrer’s resolution to rescind a new fishing regulation that was passed earlier this year by the Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Commission.
