Interstate 44 in Oklahoma City open after overturned truck cleared

A trash truck has tipped over on Interstate 44 near Mathis Brothers Furniture, causing a backup on the highway.

12:55 p.m. The highway is clear and open to traffic, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports.

11:25 a.m. A trash truck has tipped over on Interstate 44 at the Interstate 40 interchange and is causing a backup on the highway, according to the Oklahoma City Police Department.

Capt. Dexter Nelson said the Oklahoma Highway Patrol is working the scene. Nelson said it is unknown whether anyone was hurt or what caused the wreck.
