QUAKERTOWN, Pa. (AP) — Authorities say autopsies are scheduled on an eastern Pennsylvania family of four found dead of apparent carbon monoxide poisoning after what investigators believe was a suicide attempt by the husband.

A prosecutor has said that investigators believe that Gary Reitnauer went to the garage of an adjacent structure on the family's property outside Quakertown on Monday and started the car. Officials believe Michelle Reitnauer and the family's two daughters tried to rescue him in succession and were overcome by the fumes.

The coroner's office says autopsies were scheduled Wednesday; it's unclear when results will be released.

Nearly all of the students and teachers at Quakertown Community High School wore pink Wednesday in memory of their classmate.

School spokeswoman Ricki Stein says 16-year-old Kimberly Reitnauer always wore pink on Wednesdays.
