Paintball fans to fight D-Day battle in Wyandotte

Thousands of paintball enthusiasts will compete in the world's largest paintball event in Wyandotte Saturday.

Oklahoma D-Day is a six-day paintball war based on the World War II invasion with the main paintball event starting 9 a.m. Saturday, according to their website. Players will be split into Axis and Allies teams and will compete in several different battles across the field during the day.

While registration is closed for the tournament, the public can watch more than 3,000 players reenact famous battles at D-Day Adventure Park Paintball Field, 66800 E 175 Rd for a $5 fee.

The game will go until 5 p.m. and an award ceremony will follow at 6 p.m.
