Palmeiro disappointed by Hall voting

BALTIMORE — Former Orioles first baseman Rafael Palmeiro knew heading into Wednesday that his positive test for a banned steroid in 2005 was going to severely damage his chances of being selected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in his first opportunity.

He didn’t realize, however, exactly how little support he would receive from the voting members of the Baseball Writers Association of America.
