PAOK rallies to beat Asteras 2-1

ATHENS, Greece (AP) — Stefanos Athanassiadis scored a penalty in the 88th minute to give PAOK a 2-1 victory over visiting Asteras in the Greek league Sunday.

Asteras dominated the first half and took the lead through Emanuel Perrone's penalty in the 20th. Liam Lawrence equalized for PAOK just 27 seconds into the second half.

Asteras' Rayo hit the woodwork three times, including twice in a two-minute span midway through the first half. Lino hit the post for PAOK with a free kick in the 83rd.

Also Sunday, financially troubled AEK Athens drew 1-1 at home against Aris to earn its first point, Kerkyra and Xanthi drew 1-1 and Atromitos drew 0-0 at newcomer Platanias to climb into second place, two points behind leader Olympiakos.
