Parenting classes scheduled in Oklahoma City

The Early Birds program for Smart Start Central Oklahoma has free parenting classes on four days in September.

Six free parenting classes are scheduled this month for families who live within Oklahoma City Public Schools boundaries.

Early Birds is a school readiness program organized by Smart Start Central Oklahoma. Classes are designed for parents with children age 5 and younger and for expectant parents. Free Child care is available. The classes include free toys and books.

Four English-language classes are planned:

• 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Martin Luther King Elementary School, 1201 NE 48.

• 6 p.m. Tuesday at Ridgeview Elementary School, 10010 Ridgeview.

• 1:30 p.m. Sept. 15 at Cesar Chavez Elementary School, 420 SW 10.

• 10:30 a.m. Sept. 22 at Linwood Elementary School, 3416 NW 17.

Two Spanish-language classes are planned:

• 10:30 a.m. Sept. 15 at Cesar Chavez Elementary School, 420 SW 10.

• 1:30 p.m. Sept. 22 at Linwood Elementary School, 3416 NW 17.
