Parents of Blaine County man want competency hearing in murder case
WATONGA — The parents of a Blaine County man accused of plunging a kitchen knife into the heart of his 8-year-old cousin want a jury to decide if he is competent to stand trial, even though attorneys on both sides agree he needs psychiatric help.
James “Icey” Daukei Jr. , 21, is charged in Blaine County District Court with first-degree murder in the March 23 death of Rosalin Reynolds , of Watonga.
