Oklahoma City's hot spot for summer jobs for teens is Frontier City and White Water Bay, which every year hires hundreds of part-time and full-time workers for the theme-park season.

High school and college students make up the largest portion of summer hires, park officials have said. The theme parks under new management aren't hiring any fewer people this year.

Also a good spot for job-hunting teens is Braum's, said marketing director Terry Holden.

"We have lots of jobs for teens; we've always encouraged that,” Holden said. And with 40 metro-area stores and 120 statewide, and extended summer hours, hiring this year is expected to be as high as last year, he said.

Job openings at stores in Penn Square Mall can be found at the mall's customer service desk and online at pennsquaremall.com, said Jeannette Smith, the retail mall's director of marketing
