HONORING RACHELLE AND DREW
Dinner/shower: Rachelle Beshears and Drew Hoffman were honored at a dinner and miscellaneous shower in the home of Christy and Jim Everest. Flowers/food: A bouquet of colorful pink and white peonies, ranuculus and hydrangeas was the centerpiece, and guests had lamb chops, chicken, new potato salad, bread with dollops of cream butter and a variety of home-baked cookies, madeleines and tarts. Tables were set up in the beautiful Everest garden, which had all sorts of flowers already in bloom.

HONORING MAGGIE AND JOHN
Dinner/shower: Maggie Pierce and John English were honorees at a dinner in the backyard of Karen and Mike Samis. Tables were set around the swimming pool, and there were lights in the trees.

Baby shower: Cheyenne and Brad Secrist's baby is due to be born in July and friends Holly and Will Moore, Iman Berglan, Alexis Hefner and Blake Burckart entertained at a baby shower with a moustache theme for the “little man,” whom they will name Bennett. Hosts gave the couple a baby crib.

Reception: Oklahoma State University unveiled a new mural by Brooklyn, N.Y., artist Yatika Fields at a reception at the OSU Museum of Art's new Postal Plaza Gallary in Stillwater.
Artist: Fields, a Stillwater native, was asked to paint the mural as part of a visiting artist program made possible by a gift from Ken and Mary Ann Fergeson, of Altus. The Postal Plaza Gallery, a 1930s-era WPA building, is the OSU Museum of Art's new downtown facility. It will include teaching and research space as well as multiple exhibition spaces and storage for OSU's growing permanent art collection. The building is undergoing renovation and will open in the fall.
Guests: Also attending the event were OSU President Burns Hargis and his wife Ann; Ann and Jim Halligan; Bill Goldston; Malinda Berry Fischer; OSU Museum of Art Director Vicky Berry; OSU curator of art Louise Siddons.
Party: Amy Stipe celebrated her 40th birthday with a party hosted by husband, Jack Stipe, in their home.
Cake/ food: The festive cake held 40 candles. Kam's Kookery provided the food.
Photo booth: Full of creative props from “Amazing You,” it provided entertainment.

APPRECIATING THE DONORS
Cocktail reception: The Junior League of Oklahoma City's Financial Development Committee members, headed by Rejeana Allgood, hosted a donor appreciation reception at JRB at the Elms for major contributors to the 2013 JLOC Annual Fund and 85th Anniversary Signature Projects. Cocktail tables were set up in the galleries and guests enjoyed food from Iguana Grill Catering.
Occasion: A dinner was held for the Oklahoma City Town Hall Board of Directors at Kam's Kookery. Elliot Engel, lecture series speaker, was unable to give his talk because his airplane was delayed because of bad weather. The talk has been rescheduled for May 16. Fiddler Kyle Dillingham performed the next day at Town Hall in Engel's absence and received a standing ovation.
Dinner hosts: Larry Shaver, Bob Allen, Jeanette Willet and Kaye Adams. Karen Gray is OKC Town Hall president.

PREVIEWING THE ART
Preview party: A party called the “Kiln & Torch” exhibitions by Don Reitz and Marko Kratohvil was held at Artspace at Untitled Gallery. The main gallery was filled with ceramics by Reitz and the east and west galleries had steel sculptures and drawings by Kratohvil. The exhibits will be on view until June 1.
Cocktails: Staff members from Ludivine prepared hors d'oeuvres and served cocktails.
