A HOPPIN' GOOD TIME!
Event: The Tri Delta Bullfrog party was held in the home of Alison and Jack Counts with the theme of “Bullfrog Fiesta.” Hostesses were members of the Oklahoma City, Edmond and Norman Tri Delta Alumnae.
Entertainment: A mariachi band played for the 125 guests.
Decorations: The table decorations were Mexican serapes and blankets on bright-colored tablecloths. Centerpieces were straw sombrero hats, pom-pom tissue flowers and festive mascot bullfrogs.
More frogs: There were frogs on guest nametags, on place cards for the food items, on sombreros, miniature glass frog holders, lily pad wine toppers and embroidered frogs on the apron fronts of the volunteer bartenders.
Dinner: Included a spicy beef mini taco bar, chicken enchilada dip, six-layer dip, guacamole dip and chocolate brownie bites and brightly-colored iced sugar cookies.
Drink of choice: The main beverage was lime and vodka-infused “Bullfrog Cocktails.”
In charge: Kacey Luster was party chairman, and Nina Barker is Tri Delta alumnae president.

Dinner: Leslie and Scott Samara were hosts for an engagement party honoring their daughter Juliana Samara and her fiance, Spencer Simon. The buffet dinner included beef tenderloin, shrimp, Caesar salad, Lebanese spinach pies and fried kibba. Party favors were individually wrapped cookies with a photo of the engaged couple.
Decor: At the front door were two fresh flower wreaths made from lavender and blue hydrangeas.
Welcome: Scott Samara welcomed the guests and gave a few remarks.
At the party: Family, close friends and bridal attendants were at the party as well as The Rev. John Salem and The Rev. Jeremy Davis who blessed the couple and said a special prayer blessing the engagement ring.

Event: 75 members of the early American Glass Club celebrated their 75th anniversary with a party in the home of DeAnn Parham. Kamela Gamble catered the dinner with foods from the various decades of the club, including a 1970s green fondue pot and also a bowl of little Smokies.
Theme: “Decades of Diamonds.” “Diamonds” were everywhere, including table scatters, chandeliers, tiaras and hung on crystal ropes from the ceiling. The signature drink was a Champagne cocktail, and party favors were white Frankoma trivets with the invitation logo.
More decorations: Cutouts of people from the decades were set around the Parham home, including life-size Audrey Hepburn, Elvis, Liberace, Sean Connery, Marilyn Monroe and Tatum Channing. Mirror balls were hung in a tree at the front door.
Excellent ideas: The club has been meeting monthly since 1938 in members' homes. They get out all of the wonderful china, crystal, silver that they use when they are decorating their tables for the very special Guest Day Luncheon in May at the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club. (This year it was May 14).
Special touches: Frances and Ted Oney drove a 1930s car to the party. There was a slideshow presentation of 600 photographs taken through the years, including a bylined story by Nan Sheets from 1938.

Special gift: Pamela's mother, Betty Gutel, created a special gift for the baby. She crocheted a white dedication gown with hat, cardigan and blanket.

LAWYERS HELPING LAWYERS
Banquet: The Lawyers Helping Lawyers Foundation Cornerstone Banquet was held at the Oklahoma Bar Center. The event supports Oklahoma lawyers with addiction and mental health challenges.
Speaker: Comedian and humor columnist Argus Hamilton was guest speaker. Theme was “Pass the Bar — Every Chance You Get.”
Decor: Tables followed a construction theme with blueprints, yellow hard hats and yellow mums decorated with caution tape.
