There is a chance for rain Thursday in central Oklahoma, the National Weather Service reports.

Skies will be partly sunny with a high temperature near 87 degrees.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Thursday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly after 7 a.m. Partly sunny with a high near 87. South wind 8 to 14 mph with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Thursday night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy with a low around 71. South, southeast wind 13 to 16 mph with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Friday: Mostly sunny with a high near 90. South wind 13 to 21 mph with gusts as high as 29 mph.

Friday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 73. South wind 15 to 21 mph with gusts as high as 29 mph.

Saturday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny with a high near 87. South wind 17 to 20 mph with gusts as high as 28 mph.

Saturday night: Mostly cloudy with a low around 72.
