WASHINGTON (AP) — The Washington Wizards have a few days before they begin Round 2 of the playoffs, and that's good news for one of their most important players.
Brazilian forward Nene says the cold tub has become his "best friend" as he soothes the muscle aches from another injury-riddled year.
Nene missed 22 games late in the regular season with a sprained knee, but he averaged 36 minutes in the Round 1 series win over the Chicago Bulls. The only game he missed was because of a suspension — not an injury.
The Wizards will face either the Atlanta Hawks or Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
