Patches of fog Christmas Eve morning across Oklahoma

Freezing fog should lift by 9 a.m. across Oklahoma, the National Weather Service reports.

Once the fog lifts Tuesday morning, sunny skies are ahead for the rest of the day before Christmas, the National Weather Service reports.

More patches of fog are expected on Christmas morning, but temperatures Tuesday and Wednesday will be in the 40s and skies will be sunny.

The forecast for Oklahoma City is as follows:

Tuesday: Patchy freezing fog before 9 a.m. Sunny with a high near 44. South wind 7 to 12 mph increasing to 18 to 23 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 32 mph.

Tuesday night: Patchy freezing fog after midnight. Partly cloudy with a low around 28. South wind 9 to 14 mph becoming light and variable. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

Christmas Day: Patchy freezing fog before 9 a.m. Mostly sunny with a high near 42. North wind 7 to 9 mph.

Wednesday night: Clear with a low around 25. West wind 3 to 6 mph.

Thursday: Sunny with a high near 51. South, southwest wind 5 to 11 mph.

Thursday night: Mostly clear with a low around 27.

Friday: Sunny with a high near 53.

Friday night: Clear, with a low around 30.

Saturday: Sunny with a high near 57.

Saturday night: Mostly clear with a low around 30.

Sunday: Partly sunny with a high near 38.

Sunday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 23.

Monday: Sunny with a high near 38.
