Indiana Pacers forward Paul George suffered a gruesome leg injury Friday night during the Team USA Blue vs. White scrimmage in Las Vegas.

George was chasing down James Harden on defense as Harden was breaking away for a layup, when George landed awkwardly underneath the basket.

WARNING: The video below shows George's injury and it is graphic.

After a long delay, George had to be carted off the court, and Team USA coach Mike Krzyzewski called the game due to the long wait and "in respect to George's family." You can see in the video below that Thunder forward Kevin Durant is clearly shaken up by George's injury.

George emerged as one of the premier players in the NBA this past season, leading the Pacers to the Eastern Conference while earning All-NBA Third Team honors.
