Pauls Valley shooting injures 1; arrest made

PAULS VALLEY — A man was hospitalized after being shot today at a Pauls Valley motel, police said.

He was shot at the Garden Inn, 2511 W Grant Ave., at 6:10 p.m., according to a news release from Pauls Valley police.

The victim, a 27-year-old man, was taken to Pauls Valley General Hospital before being flown to an Oklahoma City hospital. Police, who did not release his identity, would only say that he was in stable condition.

Gary Leach, 33, was arrested by Pauls Valley police in connection with the shooting. Leach and the victim both work in the oilfield industry, police said.

No other details about the shooting were immediately available.
