Maximus triumphant

Despite Jenkins having to skip this weekend's bull riding, he still had a good night at the Chesapeake Energy Arena on Friday. The bull Jenkins owns, Maximus, bucked off former PBR world champ Mike Lee of Texas.

Lucky 13

This is the 13th time that the PBR has included Oklahoma City as a stop on its Built Ford Tough Series, the highest level on the professional bull riding tour.

The PBR visits Oklahoma twice more this year, in Tulsa Aug. 17-18 and in Thackerville on Aug. 30-31, the only outdoor event on the tour.

ABBI Futurity on Saturday

The first American Bucking Bull Inc. Futurity event of 2013 will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Chesapeake Energy Arena.

Approximately 50 bulls are expected to compete. Futurity events feature 2-year-old bucking bulls in competition against each with a 25-pound mechanical dummy aboard. The event is free and open to the public.

The ABBI introduces young bucking bulls at PBR events around the country.

Bull riders at Bass Pro, Langston's

Bull riders will be signing autographs from noon until 1 p.m. Saturday at Bass Pro Shops in Bricktown.

From 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the store, there will be stick bull-riding and bull roping for kids as well as mechanical bull rides.

PBR in-arena announcer Clint Adkins will host a fishing seminar at the store at 3 p.m.

Bull riders also will be appearing at Langston's in the stockyards on Saturday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Wool Warriors event in Yukon

In Yukon on Saturday, children ages 4 to 7 who weigh less than 60 pounds will be able to compete in Wool Warriors at Homeland, 2400 S. Cornwell Drive, from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The top five sheep riders will advance to the championship round, which will be held during intermission of the WinStar World Casino Invitational on Saturday night at the Chesapeake Energy Arena.
