Pedestrian, driver killed in separate Oklahoma accidents

A man who was walking on U.S. 60 near Bartlesville died Thursday after being hit by a car.

A driver and a pedestrian were killed in separate traffic accidents, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported Friday.

Bobbie Christenson, 78, of Burbank

Christenson was driving a pickup eastbound on a county road in Osage County about 10 a.m. Friday when he lost control, went off the road and rolled the vehicle. He wasn't wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the pickup, trooper said.

Christenson died at a hospital from head and trunk injuries.

David Micheal Butler, 33, of Pawhuska

Butler died about 10:30 p.m. Thursday when he was hit by a car while walking east along U.S. 60 five miles east of Bartlesville, troopers said.

The car, driven by Jerry Woods, 50, of Nowata, also was headed east.

Butler was pronounced dead at the scene. has disabled the comments for this article.
