SWING FOR ART

Event: Chip In For The Arts.

Where: Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club.

Hosted By: Allied Arts.

What: Annual golf tournament.

Facts: The event raised more than $50,000 and 32 teams participated. OG&E placed first in the tournament and won the Corporate Cup. Other notable players included Dayton Rose for longest drive and Scott Sjulin and Mark VanHoose for closest to the pin.

REAPING THE BENEFITS

Event: Beaux Arts Society Reception.

Venue: Oklahoma City Museum of Art.

Who: Debutants and escorts, parents and members of the Beaux Arts committee were guests.

What: A check for $50,000, representing proceeds from last year’s ball, was presented to the museum by past ball chairman Leslie Russell. The money will go into an acquisition fund.

SAFE HAVEN

Event: Purple Sash Gala.

Where: National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum.

The evening: Dinner, silent and live auctions, survivor testimonials and a runway fashion show presented by r meyers.

To benefit: Proceeds benefit YWCA programs to help victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

A HELPING HAND

Event: The Salvation Army’s 27th Annual “Celebration of Hope” Luncheon.

Where: Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club.

Honorary chairman: Gov. Mary Fallin.

Honoring: The Chickasaw Nation and volunteers, donors and first responders on the anniversary of the Moore tornado.

Featured: Sandi Patty, American Christian Music Singer.

To benefit: Ongoing programs and services of The Salvation Army, Central Oklahoma Area Command.
