Benefit Dinner, Rotary Reception, Racquet Rally

Event: Tuxedos and Tiaras.

Where: Science Museum Oklahoma.

To Benefit: Easter Seals Oklahoma.

The Evening: Billed as “The tackiest prom you never attended!'', the evening featured food and beverages from local merchants. Andrew Speno was master of ceremonies. Many of the guests got with the spirit of the evening and came dressed in prom clothes. Patrick Allmond and Dave Rhea were co-chairmen. Serving on the committee were Kristy Boone, Krista Bruce, Garrett Campbell, Billy Dry, David Freeland, Carl Foster, Laura Ingram, Enrique Martinez, Kathleen Miller, Lennon Patton, Jeb Reid and Chasen Shaw.


Event: Racquet Rally 2012 — ”Wild West “I Walk the Line.''

Where: Quail Creek Golf & Country Club.

What: A two-day tennis tourney for all levels of play that combined skill with fun, winding down the second evening with dinner and entertainment by Philip Bauer. Players who drew matches on the outside courts played in triple-digit weather. Needless to say their matches were pretty “heated.”


Event: A Benefit Dinner for Integris Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation Hospital, donated at last year's Courage Awards. The five-course gourmet dinner was donated and prepared by several master chefs. The dinner was hosted by Dr. Al Moorad and Kathey Sandler in their home.


Event: Rotary Club 29 Board Installation and Reception.

Where: National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum.

Buzz: The 2012-2013 Board of Directors was installed and Marion Paden was tapped as president. This is the second female to be installed as president of the Oklahoma City Downtown Rotary, the third largest club in the world.
