Event: Multiple Sclerosis Society Smarty Pants Trivia Night.
Where: Oklahoma History Center.
What: Teams of 10 competed for a Smarty Pants Trivia Trophy. Hors d'oeuvres with drinks were served and food by Johnny Carinos of Yukon. Guests also enjoyed a raffle and purchased tickets for a “Wall of Wine.”
Event: “Best in Ten 2012'' Benefit.
Hosted by: Carpenter Square Theatre.
To Benefit: Theatre's Building Fund, programming for the upcoming season and educational outreach to at-risk students.
What: A reception featuring hors d'oeuvres from area restaurants, tributes to guests of honor, Jane Hall and Bob Smith, a program of staged readings of short plays, a wine pull and silent and live auctions. Rick Allen Lippert's play was the winning entry in the Ten-Minute Play Contest. Jane Hall and other local actors played the characters. Rhonda Clark is artistic director.
Event: Cattle Baron's Ball.
Where: Coles Garden.
To Benefit: American Cancer Society.
The Evening: Live country entertainment, great food, creative games, auctions and chances to ride a mechanical bull.
A BLOOMING AFFAIR
Event: Casino Florale.
Where: Oklahoma City Marriott.
Hosted by: Young Professionals Organization “Making Oklahoma City Beautiful.”
To Benefit: Oklahoma City Beautiful.
Buzz: Guests were given play money to buy poker chips to play blackjack, Texas Hold 'Em, roulette, three-card poker and slot machines. When the tables closed, poker chips were redeemed for tickets for the raffle packages of their choice. A variety of appetizers and drinks were served.
TASTE BUDS FRENZY
Event: Tour de Palate.
Where: National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum.
To Benefit: The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
The Evening: Guests were served wines selected to complement food from 15 local restaurants and desserts from three of the city's bakeries and chocolate shops. Imported and local brews were featured in a beer garden. Guests also participated in live and silent auctions, a wine pull and a cake competition. Live music and dancing to the Kristen Stehr Band rounded out the evening.
