A FINE TASTE

Event: Oklahoma City Charity Scotch Tasting.

Where: Nichols Hills home of Peter and Simone Fulmer.

To Benefit: Oklahoma Lawyers for Children.

The Evening: Food and six flights of premium single malt scotch and wine were served. Other features were a cigar bar, pipes and drums by the Highlanders of Oklahoma City, drink service courtesy of Hooters and a presentation by Master of Scotch Whisky, Robert Sickler.

HIGHER EDUCATION BENEFIT

Event: Langston University Annual Scholarship Gala.

Where: Cox Convention Center.

Featured: Grammy-nominated singer Brian McKnight and Langston alumnus and comedian “Jammin'' Jay Lamont.

To Benefit: Student Scholarships.

Honored: Dr. James Mosely, the Rev. J.A. Reed Jr. and Jim Reese, Oklahoma Secretary of Agriculture, were awarded the President's Distinguished Service Award.

Masters of Ceremony: Kavaris Sims, Dontreka Matthews and Jasmine Redo.

PLANNING AHEAD

Event: Planning Luncheon for the Creativity Ambassadors Gala.

Where: Coach House restaurant.

Welcome: Chairman Annie Bohanon welcomed guests and introduced them to the particulars about the gala on Nov. 12 at the Civic Center Hall of Mirrors.

Among the guests: Gail Beals, Jenny Dunning, Jeanette Elliott, Mary Frates, Pat Gallagher, Jean Hendrickson, Abby Kurin, Susan McCalmont, Mary Ann Prior, Charlotte Richels, Teresa Rose, Sarah Sears and Lori Tyler.

Event: Founding Guardian Reception.

Where: Home of Dean and Carol Stringer.

What: The stringers organized a fundraising fellowship to support Youth Services for Oklahoma County. The Guardian program is by invitation only and each Founding Guardian commits to donate at least $1,000 annually for the next three years to YSOC.
