What: Lunch, a brief program and a personal testimony. The Pioneer Woman Award was given to Gov. Mary Fallin, who was out of the country. Secretary Rita Aragon accepted on her behalf.

Attendance: Around 400.

TAKING A BREATHER

Event: Breath of Life Gala.

To benefit: Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Where: National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum.

Honorary chairman: Oklahoma City Thunder player Thabo Sefolosha.

What: Cocktails, dinner, auction and program.

Other: A patron party and art unveiling was held in conjunction with the event and hosted a week later by Dick and Jeanette Sias at Devon Energy on the 50th floor.

EDUCATIONAL FUN

Event: Dollars for Scholars.

To benefit: Harding Charter Prep High school.

Where: Will Rogers Theatre.

What: Dinner, auction and Miss Blues jazz band.

A JOINTS EVENT

Event: Oklahoma City Arthritis Bone Bash Gala.

Where: National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum.

To Benefit: To support the Arthritis Foundation fight against arthritis, the most common cause of disability.

Co-chairmen: Reta Clopton and Kathy Barkocy.

What: The ghoulish evening included dinner, music, entertainment by M&M Production, costume contest and silent/live auctions.

‘TIS THE SEASON

Event: Redbud Women's Club Autumn Brunch.

Where: Home of Gayle Keeton.

Program: Charlotte Rutledge and Maxine DeCocq gave a talk about two of the first settlers in the city.

GHOULS

Event: Halloween Ball of the Joie De Vie Ballroom Dance Club.

Where: Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club.
