Program: Jennifer Eve Fish moderated a chat between Carrie Keating Leonard, National Young Mother of the Year and her mother, former First Lady Cathy Keating, as the three were seated onstage in comfy chairs. They spoke on motherhood, community service and challenges young mothers meet every day. Carolyn Zachritz entertained with harp music. Decor colors were hot pink, white and green. Mixed spring flowers were the centerpieces.

Co-chairmen: Marni Sigmon and Monica Szymanski. Dee Richardson is president.

Chairman: Ann Alspaugh was chairman. Honorary chairmen were Ann Felton, Lou Kerr and Linda Rosser. Cathy Leichter is president.

Surprise award: Cathy Leichter was the first recipient of the Ann Simmons Alspaugh Distinguished Leadership Award.

Decor: Hot pink tablecloths with black napkins set off centerpieces of white tulips and hydrangea.

Entertainment: OCU Music School tenor J. Warren Mitchell performed.


Event: Edmond Women's Club 30th Anniversary Gala, “In Bloom.”

Where: Oak Tree Country Club.

What: To celebrate the club's volunteerism in the community. A seated dinner, live music and silent/live auctions.
