Presented: Lika Behar, courtesy of Naifeh Fine Jewelry. Guests shopped her jewelry at both a preparty and before the seated luncheon began.

Honorary Chairman: Brenda McDaniel.

The Program: Participating in the program were event co-chairmen Julie Hall and Donna Bozalis, Shana Huffman, Lika Behar and Suzanne Owens. Annie Bohanon gave a moving tribute to the late Gene Barth.

Special: Cole McDaniel gave a patient testimonial about his experience at HRI, his surgeries and his renewed quality of life. A courageous young man, McDaniel moved the audience who quickly rose to their feet and applauded when he finished.

What: The portrait of John E. Kirkpatrick, which hangs inside the Plaza Theatre of Oklahoma, was unveiled at a reception at the theater.

INAUGURATION

Event: Inauguration of Frank Wang, Ph.D., as president of the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics.

Where: Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics.

Speaker: Joseph H. Taylor Jr., Ph.D., winner of the 1992 Nobel Laureate in Physics.

RAH! RAH!

Event: Oklahoma Bar Association Annual Meeting — “At The Hop'' Reception.

Where: Downtown Sheraton Hotel Century Ballroom.

The Evening: Guests wore 1950s attire and competed for best costume. Dave and the Wavetones provided the music, and a “homecoming court” was selected. Thunder Girls representatives also attended.

HATS OFF

Event: Industry Appreciation Night.

Where: OG&E Room, Downtown Petroleum Club.

Hosts: Desk and Derrick Club of Oklahoma City.

What: A nonprofit international organization whose purpose is to promote educational and professional development of individuals employed in or affiliated with the petroleum energy and allied industries. The evening was a tribute to employers for their generous support throughout the year.
