Honored: Mayor Mick Cornett received the Dean A. McGee Award for a lifetime of excellence in downtown Oklahoma City; Oklahoma Philharmonic Music Director Joel Levine was awarded the Stanley Draper Award for community excellence in downtown Oklahoma City; Tapstone Energy CEO Tom Ward was presented the Neal Horton Award for the renaissance of a downtown area and Steve Lackmeyer, a business writer for The Oklahoman, received the President’s Award.

What: Not just another day in May photo exhibition, which commemorates the storms that affected central Oklahoma during May 2013. The images reflect the immediate aftermath as well as the recovery efforts.
Event: Redbud Awards Ceremony presented at the Oklahoma Travel Association Statewide Conference.
Where: Oklahoma History Center.
What: The awards ceremony held during the conference recognizes Oklahoma tourism attractions, destination marketing organizations and journalists for their outstanding efforts to serve and promote Oklahoma’s tourism industry in 2013. Armstrong Auditorium in north Edmond won an award for its performing concert series of artists around the world and successfully promoting its venue. The awards represent the highest honor given in the Oklahoma tourism Industry.
