NBC's "Nightly News" topped the evening newscasts with an average of 8.9 million viewers (6.0, 11). ABC's "World News" was second with 7.9 million (5.4, 11) and the "CBS Evening News" had 6.5 million viewers (4.5, 8).

A ratings point represents 1,147,000 households, or 1 percent of the nation's estimated 114.7 million TV homes. The share is the percentage of in-use televisions tuned to a given show.

For the week of Dec. 3-9, the top 10 shows, their networks and viewerships: Sunday Night Football: Detroit at Green Bay, NBC, 21.36 million; "The Big Bang Theory," CBS, 16.95 million; "Sunday Night NFL Pre-Kick," NBC, 16.44 million; "Person of Interest," CBS, 14.18 million; "Two and a Half Men," CBS, 13.5 million; "Football Night in America," NBC, 12.12 million; "The Voice" (Monday), NBC, 12.11 million; "60 Minutes," CBS, 11.87 million; "The Voice" (Tuesday), NBC, 11.52 million; "The OT," Fox, 11.45 million.
