Penguins from SeaWorld visit The Oklahoman to entice people to visit San Antonio

A pair of penguins, a Brazilian three-banded armadillo and an American alligator from SeaWorld San Antonio recently got quite a bit of attention during a good-will tour of Oklahoma City.

A new show at SeaWorld opening June 13 called “Pets Ahoy!” is a comedy featuring the talents of dogs, cats, birds, rats, pigs and other animals, and almost all of them have been rescued from animal shelters.

SeaWorld and Aquatica offer various admission rates for children and adults, depending on whether you want to visit one or both parks and how often. Single-day admission starts around $50 for children and $60 for adults but go up to $135 for annual passes to both parks, with various prices in between depending on your visit. Other attractions

At Six Flags Fiesta Texas, visitors can enjoy more than 50 rides and attractions for all ages, including its new hybrid coaster known as the Iron Rattler, which combines a wooden support structure with modern track and rails. It has a 171-foot drop and 81-degree drop angle, and riders go up to 70 mph.

Schlitterbahn Waterpark Resort offers water-park rides on rapids, waterfalls and waves, including a 3,600-foot white-water river.

Natural Bridge Caverns has underground chambers filled with rock formations. Families can also enjoy additional adventure with the Canopy Challenge and Zip lines.
