Feeling lucky?

Local fashion designers, artists and design students are invited to play their cards – or at least put a few on clothing – for a Kings & Queens of Fashion runway show.

Presented by Grand Casino Hotel & Resort, the event will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 2 at Penn Square Mall. The show will benefit the YWCA.

Designers can get in on the action by submitting fashion sketches of their casino-inspired designs. Selected designs will be featured during the fashion show and remain on display at the mall in The Grand Lounge, a retail and entertainment space for the casino. Winning designs also will be shown during the YWCA’s annual Purple Sash event in 2015.

Designers chosen to participate in the show also will receive an American Express Simon gift card. Deadline for designers is 4 p.m. July 25.

“Penn Square Mall is proud to host Kings & Queens of Fashion while celebrating the creativity and talent of local fashionistas,” said Jill Merritt, director of marketing and business development at Penn Square Mall. “We invite aspiring fashion designers to submit over-the-top designs that will best represent the Grand Casino.”
