CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) — Miami linebacker Denzel Perryman says hearing that Al Golden was staying with the Hurricanes was a "sigh of relief" that helped his own decision to stick around.

Perryman will remain at Miami for his senior season, despite being projected by as a potential third-round selection if he came out early. Other Miami underclassmen who flirted with coming out included tight end Clive Walford, defensive end Anthony Chickillo and offensive linemen Jon Feliciano, all of whom will be staying as well.

Perryman led Miami with 108 tackles this season. He became a father this fall as well, and that prompted speculation that he would declare for the NFL Draft.
