The junior point guard has carried a much larger load this season with the departure of the Paris twins and the injury to Whitney Hand.

"In the beginning, it was very difficult just because that person, that right-hand man pretty much, is gone.

"But Whitney’s done a great job of staying right there. If I do feel some kind of pressure, just a couple of her words will inspire me and motivate me and lighten the load a little bit.

"You know, pressure comes with anybody. It’s just what you do with it.

"I think that embracing it has been the best thing.

"It took a little while for sure. It took some adjusting, especially with our personnel. We had to make sure everybody was on the same page. But yeah, it wasn’t easy.

"Being a point guard isn’t easy.

"I was excited about the opportunity this season to be the point guard and be the person everybody turns to when things aren’t going the right way. With the seniors that we have on this team, it’s just been an incredible journey.

"It’s a blessing. Couldn’t be more happy for this team for all that we’ve been through this season. The post-Paris era. The post-Hand era. Whatever that may be.

"We’re just so happy to be in this position.”
