Pesky pollen triggers allergy angst in Oklahoma

Pollinating cedar trees are leaving many Oklahomans with red, itchy eyes, nasal congestion and other symptoms associated with hay fever.

The year’s first allergy alert was issued Friday because of very high levels of red cedar pollen, as tested by the Oklahoma Allergy and Asthma Clinic in Oklahoma City .
