Bounty hunter goes home with puppy

Buz Deliere worked as a bounty hunter for several years. One day, about five months ago, the Edmond man was on routine business, tracking down a fugitive. At the fugitive's home, Deliere saw something that he'll never forget: a whimpering puppy chained tight to a tree, covered in his own feces, without water or food.

“He couldn't sit down or lay down without getting choked,” Deliere said. “And his leash was so tight it was already choking him. We had to cut it off.”

It was love at first sight between the two. The fugitive Deliere was tracking said Deliere could take the dog. The puppy was 2 months old and weighed only 13 pounds.

Today, Crosby thrives with his new, loving owner. He's 7 ½months old and weighs a whopping 60 pounds. He loves to chase squirrels and go swimming at the dog park. Crosby is bouncy, full of energy and seems to always be smiling. Deliere describes Crosby as loving.
