Pet Tales: Splendid cat loves music

Heather Warlick: Simba learned to love music while his human nursed him after hip surgery.

One year later, Simba still loves for me to sing to him. When I pet him, if I don't sing, he says “Ow, Ow.”

Before Simba's surgery, my husband, because of the expense, thought that we should just get him euthanized. Later, Dr. Brown told me, “I could not have put down such a splendid cat. I'd already decided that I'd buy him from you, fix him up, then sell him back to you if you wanted him.”

Simba is truly a “Splendid Cat”!
