The 3.1 Phillip Lim collection for Target just landed in stores Sunday, but fashion waits for no one and the next collaboration already has been announced.

Peter Pilotto and Target announced their forthcoming spring collaboration at the designer’s runway show at London Fashion Week.  Available Feb. 9, the collection will feature women’s apparel, accessories and swimwear, with most items less than $60.

Target also is partnering with online luxury retailer Net-a-Porter.com to reach an international audience.

“By working with Target, we’re able to broaden our reach and bring our design aesthetic to an entirely new audience,”  Peter Pilotto said. “This is a pivotal moment for our brand. Our collection for Target embodies the elegance and spirit of our own line, but makes it accessible to everyone,” added Christopher De Vos.

Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos are the designers behind Peter Pilotto. The two met while studying at Antwerp’s prestigious Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Belgium and together created one of London’s most recognized and coveted fashion brands. Celebrated for their innovative, complex and colorful prints, the designers explore and question conventional notions of prints, textiles, sculptural shapes and draping.

Peter Pilotto for Target combines hyper-real digital prints in striking blues and greens and warm reds and oranges. The assortment features nearly 70 items and ranges in price from $14.99 to $79.99 for apparel and swimwear and $16.99 to $39.99 for accessories. Standout pieces include chic dresses, flattering skirts and versatile swimwear that can be mixed-and-matched.

In December 2009, Peter Pilotto was awarded the Best Emerging Talent Award and the Women’s Swarovski Award for New Potential High-Level Garments at the British Fashion Awards. Additional accolades followed in 2011 when the label received the prestigious Fashion Forward Award by the British Fashion Council.
