Stan Chase, an information technology expert with more than 25 years experience in data and infrastructure, has joined Phase 2 Interactive as chief operating officer. The company is a developer of custom business, smartphone and iPad software.
Chase, 52, most recently served in that role for Perimeter Technology LLC, an IT firm he co-founded in 2003, which sold Oct. 31 to St. Louis-based Cequel Data Centers. Clients hired Perimeter to host, manage or co-locate their computer networks in its Oklahoma and Tulsa facilities.
Phase 2 was a client of Perimeter, and Chase these past few months has served as a consultant for Phase 2. But Chase and Mark Towler, Phase 2 founder and chief executive, were acquainted since 1995, when they worked together at an IT services firm called the Rock Island Group. Chase headed operations and Tower oversaw sales and its website development division, which he spun off to form Phase 2 in January 1998.

Meanwhile, Rock Island went through numerous acquisitions and dot.com offerings. Perimeter, for which Rock Island was the genesis, debuted after taking over an Oklahoma City data center when Williams Communications filed for bankruptcy protection.
Towler said Phase 2 has adopted a more aggressive growth agenda, and will benefit from Chase's experience with fast-growth technology firms, large contract negotiations and his statewide contacts. A graduate of Leadership Oklahoma and Leadership Oklahoma City, Chase is a retired lieutenant colonel with the Oklahoma Army National Guard and serves on several community boards.
