LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) — Mediaphormedia LLC is scaling back its operation and has told media clients it will not renew agreements once they expire.
The Lawrence, Kan.-based web content management system firm is phasing out commercial software operations. It will continue providing software updates but will discontinue new features, accepting new clients or providing custom development work for its Ellington CMS and Marketplace software offerings.
Mediaphormedia says clients — which are mostly newspapers — should not notice any substantial change. Content management system software allows media companies to publish content and support interaction with readers.
As part of the restructuring, Mediaphormedia has cut 10 employees.
The firm will continue serving internal needs of its parent company, The World Co. in Lawrence.
