SYDNEY (AP) — Western Sydney Wanderers missed a chance to move within a point of A-League leader Brisbane and instead suffered a first home loss in nearly a year, 3-1 to Wellington Phoenix on Wednesday.

Belgian striker Stein Huysegems scored goals five minutes apart in the final 12 minutes.

Mark Bridge gave the Wanderers the lead in the 62nd minute, but the New Zealand-based side leveled through Tyler Boyd six minutes later and won on Huysegems' goals in the 78th and 83rd.

Adelaide hosts Sydney FC in the next A-League match on Friday.
