Oklahoma City set a new heat record when temperatures topped the the century mark Monday afternoon, Aug. 22, making it the 51st day in 2011 when the temperature exceeded 100 degrees. A mailman for five years, he said he tolerates working in the heat by wearing a wide-brimmed hat, shorts and drinking lots of water.
