SNU STUDENTS HOST MEAL

Students, faculty and staff of Southern Nazarene University, prepared and served a traditional Thanksgiving meal as a service project Saturday afternoon, Nov. 20, 2010. David Bond, president of the university's Student Government Association, said his group partnered with the Alpha Lambda Delta sorority to plan and organize the holiday event. Bond estimated at least 100 college students and faculty participated in buying the food and preparing all the side dishes, pies and beverages for the guests. He said 15 turkeys were purchased and were professionally smoked by Red Dirt B-B-Q (cq) . Everyone in the community was invited to attend the meal. Photo by Jim Beckel, The Oklahoman
