Armed Forces Day Parade

Laila Evans and Madison Danner watch the parade in their ladybug costumes. The girls were waiting to join  a contingent from St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, who were walking in the parade; Evans and Danner joined the group when they reached the girls' location.  The costumes were made by church member Aletha Laurent who used hula hoops , fabric, cardboard and duct tape. Del City and eastern Oklahoma County residents lined S. Sunnylane Road  to show their support for America's military,  applauding and cheering  participants who marched and rode in the city's Armed Forces Day Parade on Saturday morning, May, 19, 2012.
