FRANKLIN PAINTING UNVEILED

New York artist Everett Raymond Kinstler, left, and OCU President Robert Henry after Kinstler   unveiled his portrait of Dr. John Hope Franklin (in background) in a ceremony at the state capitol on  Wednesday, Feb 22,  2012. Born in Rentiesville and a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa, Franklin went on to become a nationally recognized historian, author  and civil rights advocate.
