As young boy attending Catholic grade school, Joe Ross was an altar boy at the team Mass for Notre Dame players at the local Catholic parish in Chickasha the day before the Irish ended OU's winning streak in 1957. Now, he's Father Ross, pastor of Blessed Sacrament Parish in Lawton. Having later attended Notre Dame, that day with the Irish in 1957 is one that lives on for this Oklahoma priest.. He met with a reporter and posed for photos in St. Joseph's Old Cathedral in downtown Oklahoma City on Monday, Oct. 22, 2012. Photo by Jim Beckel, The Oklahoman
