Pamela Pickens Harmon, daughter of millionaire Texas oil man T. Boone Pickens Jr., and her husband have filed a personal bankruptcy liquidation petition in Oklahoma City.
Pamela and Kenneth Dwayne Harmon listed total liabilities of $115,079 and total assets of $101,130. The couple reported no debts to Pickens and did not otherwise mention him in the petition, which was filed Tuesday.
The filing said the couple did business as Northside Publications Inc., which they described as a defunct Oklahoma corporation. It said Kenneth Harmon's current occupation is advertising and sales, and Pamela Harmon's is receptionist for an Oklahoma City physician.
Oklahoma City lawyer John McCormick, who filed the petition, confirmed that Pamela Harmon is T. Boone Pickens Jr.'s daughter. He said the pair has mentioned a debt to Pickens, who may be added to the case as a creditor through amendment of the petition.
McCormick said the couple approached him six months ago about undergoing bankruptcy. He said their difficulties were caused principally by Northside Publications, a publisher of telephone directories.
When contacted, Pamela Harmon declined to discuss the filing.
Pickens, a native of Holdenville, is perhaps best known for his controversial attempted takeovers of large oil companies investments that have earned him and associated investors hundreds of millions of dollars. BIOG: NAME:Archive ID: 342878
