Pickens pushes to elevate wind plan to national spotlight

WASHINGTON — Warning that the nation has "walked into a trap” with its dependence on foreign oil, T. Boone Pickens told senators on Tuesday that his plan to expand wind power and shift more vehicles to natural gas is "simple and doable.”
