Elton Fletchall was asleep early Thursday when he thought a tree had fallen on his house.

On the northeast corner of the house, 3136 NW 36, a pickup slammed into it about 5:10 a.m. Thursday, police report.

The pickup driver told emergency workers on the scene he'd fallen asleep. He was checked out by paramedics but not hospitalized.

Fletchall, 69, said there was extensive damage to the guest bedroom. He lives in the house with his wife and no one was in the room where the pickup went about two feet through the wall. No one was hurt in the house.
