The Pioneer Library System is offering free training for volunteer tutors for its literacy program.

Libraries seek volunteer tutors

NORMAN — The Pioneer Library System is seeking volunteers for its literacy program, which serves adults 18 and older and provides basic instruction in reading, writing and spelling, and one-on-one tutoring in English as a second language. Training will be 6 to 8 p.m. June 4 and 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 5 at Norman Public Library, 225 N Webster Ave. Preregistration is required.
