Library celebrates Doctor Who

The Norman Library will commemorate 50 years of “Doctor Who” at a Doctor Who Anniversary Celebration, beginning at 6 p.m. Friday in the Lowry Room, 225 N Webster Ave. The event, open to all ages, will feature games, crafts, Doctor Who-themed snacks and a chance to check out the library's Doctor Who books. Writing workshop planned

Teens getting ready for college can get practical advice at the Norman Library's writing workshop, “College Admission and Scholarship Essays,” at 6 p.m. Monday in the library's computer training center. Moira Ozias, associate director of the University of Oklahoma Writing Center, and Stephanie Buettner, associate director of OU Prospective Student Services, will lead the workshop. Library to host child care training

The Moore Public Library will host a free Child Care Provider training program at 9 a.m. Saturday in Rooms A and B of the library, 225 S Howard Ave. The program's topic will be creative resources for enhancing learning experiences. The training will be hands-on and provide free resources to aid in daily activity planning. Each participant will receive two training credit hours.
